The Rules of the Road
Let's keep it simple. Please look over our Terms of Service before signing up, and if you have any questions about any of it, just ask.

1. Code18 Hosting servers may not be used for any activity which is illegal in the United States. Additional activities we will not tolerate include: Hate sites of any kind, unsolicited bulk email ("spam"), scams or fraudulent activity of any kind, and the illegal or unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material. Additionally, our servers may not be used to run IRC software. Keeping in mind these few obvious red flags, if you still aren't sure whether your website meets our Standards for Acceptable Use, please ask us before you sign up.
2. Our service guarantee to you is simply that we will strive to exceed your expectations in every way possible. You must know, however, that occasional service outages are simply a fact of life, and we aren't going to pretend otherwise. We do our best to make service interruptions as rare and brief as possible, and generally average better than 99.5% service uptime, with downtime rarely lasting longer than 10 or 15 minutes.
3. Code18 Hosting is a small business, and as such we do not currently offer 24/7 telephone support. We do, however, have quite extensive online help resources available for your use, and we do our best to respond to direct support requests as fast as we can. Because our clients usually deal with the same person every time, most prefer our approach to support over the voicemail mazes and interminable hold times offered by corporate hosting companies. Your mileage may vary.
4. You will be billed automatically at the interval you request (monthly or annually). You may cancel your account by providing written notice of your intent to cancel at any time, however, Code18 Hosting shall not be obligated to refund any pre-paid hosting fees.
5. Your privacy is important to us, and something we take very seriously. No information regarding you, your business or your eletronic communications will ever be shared or sold by us to any third party, unless compelled by government subpoena. For your added privacy and security, we do not store your billing/credit card information on any publicly accessible server.
6. Under no circumstances will our liability in this relationship be greater than the amount of money equal to one month's service under whichever hosting plan you have subscribed to. If you grow unhappy with us for any reason, we will do our best to make things right for you.
7. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without refund if we discover at any time that you have violated our Terms of Service. In addition, we may hold you liable for any damages caused or costs incurred by us as a result of your wrongful conduct. Your account may also be terminated at any time for non-payment or repeated late-payment of hosting fees, and may incur a $20 reconnection fee. Furthermore, we reserve the right to refuse service altogether, or to reject any prospective new client application for any reason at any time.

These Terms of Service are subject to change from time to time, as circumstances warrant. We will notify you of any material changes to our Terms of Service by email. We want this to be a friendly and helpful place for you to host your website -- and we appreciate your cooperation!
